Jenn's Bachelorette Weekend Recap

This weekend was Miss Jennifer Lynn Salters Bachelorette Party Extravaganza… and it was a friggin’ blast (you can check out all the pics in the post below). There was a lot of water, sun, and good ole bachelorette fun.

It happened to be amazing sunny weather that I was SO thankful for (even though I was too good of a girl with the sunblock and didn’t get quite as much sun as I wanted!). We stayed in a condo on the Comal River in New Brunfels and floated the river all day Friday and Saturday… and although it was lovely and relaxing on Friday… omigooooooodness skanky baby flashback on Saturday. Everyone and their baby’s momma and their dog (literally) were there on Saturday... probably because the Guadalupe was closed (because the water was so high due to the recent tsunami conditions in Tejas) and it was the first sunny day in what seemed like years. But yes… I thought we were going to die trying to get out of the water at the public exit. Tubes, people, skankiness, everywhere. The police (which were rampant all over the river) just stood there to make sure people didn’t have open containers… but did not care that people were screaming and scared and were having trouble getting out of the water. The New Braunfels PD are on my list, man.

Besides floating there was a lot of food and fun. Man did we eat. I went off my diet (hee hee) so I personally thoroughly enjoyed it. We went out each night and met an interesting assortment of local hot spots (Gruene Hall aint all its cracked up to be) and guys here and there… and on Saturday we went out for Jenn’s official bachelorette night out in San Antonio. I wont give too many details… because what happened at her bachelorette night stays on her bachelorette night… but… it included a whole lotta this... whole lotta that... and a whole lotta dancing. After dinner on the River Walk at Dick’s (which was fun but imagine being pelted in the head with flying objects while trying to eat at a place that doesn’t serve cheeseburgers… who doesn’t serve cheeseburgers… crackheads) and then we went to Coyote Ugly… where yes we danced atop the bar Tyra Banks style… then we headed to another bar to dance. Oh and dance we did. Can I just say… I haven’t really danced in about a year since my back first fell apart… I have been scared to and it hurts too much… oh but baby I’m back. Literally and figuratively. I danced my patootie off. They couldn’t get me to stop. Did I pay for it in pain the next day? Ooooh you bet I did. But it was well worth it. I had so much fun. I didn’t realize how much I had missed dancing! I guess I must still got it because the DJ/MC guy asked me if I had been eating my cornbread because he had never seen a white girl dance like that… then he proposed to me. Twice. =] Then we met OJ Simpson who happened to be at the bar… and made it the most random sighting of the year. YES he was sketchy/shady/pedofile-ish. But we insisted on taking pictures with him because he is the closest thing you are going to get to a celebrity sighting in San Antonio, TX.
I hope Jenn had a wonderful time (she did) and the weekend would have never happened without Rachel, Jill, Jennifer, Erika, Amanda, Maggie, Marisa, and Michele! Few random memories I can think of right now…
